A semi-automatic shrink wrapper is a packaging machine designed to group and wrap products in shrink film. With manual product loading, it can produce packs or bundles of bottles, containers, cardboard boxes, bags, pots or food products, while remaining easy to operate and quick to change over.

How a semi-automatic shrink wrapper works
Products to be grouped are placed manually on the worktable in front of the pusher. The operator then presses the cycle-start button; all other operations are carried out automatically. An optional photoelectric safety/detection barrier can optimise the sequence so the operator only needs to press the start button to launch the cycle.
The shrink-wrapping cycle includes the following steps:
- the pack is pushed against the film curtain and beyond the sealing bar;
- the sealing bar descends and seals the film around the pack;
- the pack, wrapped in its film sleeve, is transferred onto the shrink-tunnel conveyor;
- the completed shrink-wrapped pack is collected at the tunnel exit.
