What is a case packing machine?

A case packing machine is designed to pack products into cases at the end of a packaging line. PROPACK supplies and integrates automatic industrial case packing machines suited to the products, cardboard case formats and required production speeds.

There are three main case packing principles: horizontal case packing, where products are inserted from the side into a pre-formed case; vertical case packing, where products are loaded from above; and wrap-around case packing, where a case is formed directly around a group of products from a flat cardboard blank.

Which automatic case packing machine should you choose?

The choice of an automatic case packing machine depends on the product, case type, loading method and required production speed. A wrap-around case packer forms the case directly around the product group from a flat cardboard blank. A side-loading case packer inserts products from the side into a pre-formed case, while a vertical case packer loads products from above. For shelf-ready packaging, a tray and hood case packer combines a tray and a hood to create a display case ready for use on retail shelves.
