The CIEMME carton forming machine and Top-Load line, part of the IMA Group, is designed for packing individual products or product assortments into cartons. Top loading provides accurate, consistent packing and is suitable for different production formats.<\/p>\n
This flexible solution integrates into industrial lines requiring carton forming, organised filling and output rates suited to modern packaging requirements. Depending on the version, the line can reach up to 150 cartons per minute. Solutions for medium output rates of around 30 cartons per minute are also available.<\/p>\n
Flat cardboard blanks are picked one by one from a magazine by an arm fitted with suction cups connected to a vacuum pump. Each blank is then placed over a forming well.<\/p>\n
A forming tool, matched to the internal dimensions of the carton and mounted on a vertically moving axis, pushes the blank into the forming well to form the carton. Depending on the configuration, the carton bottom is mechanically locked or hot-melt glued, after which the formed carton is released onto an indexed outfeed conveyor.<\/p>\n
The cartons are then conveyed to the filling station, which can be manual or robotic depending on the required level of automation. After filling, they are transferred to the carton closing machine, which closes them using hot-melt adhesive.<\/p>\n
